A big thank you to all those who participated in our Vocations Week events! Our team was blown away by the overwhelmingly positive response to this event, the attendance and insightful questions you asked, and the many ways the Holy Spirit guided this endeavor. We look forward to this becoming an annual event and can’t wait to see you next year!

Community-Wide Rosary and Reading of “God’s Glorious Girl”
Join us in praying for all of our speakers and students participating in Vocations Week! Following the rosary, listen to Emily Wilson Hussem read her first children’s book, “God’s Glorious Girl” published in 2020. This reading is geared toward our elementary students! Emily is a speaker, author and musician who travels the world sharing her faith through witness and worship.

Lauren shares her discernment story, particularly her journey toward entering religious life and discerning out after two years. Her perspective is focused on how saying “Yes” to God, time and time again can only reap rewards; and the freedom she experienced in saying “Yes” even when it was difficult. Q&A session following.

Mother Theresa Christe shares her own vocation story, gives details about their religious community and introduces a postulant, novice and junior professed sister in their community so students can see the varying stages of religious life.

Father Jacob will speak about the “Order of Preachers” better known as the Dominicans, their charism and mission: “To preach the gospel and for the salvation of souls”. He will also speak about the Dominican way of life at the Province of St. Joseph.
